Attention Underground Storage Tank Owners in Westchester County
New EPA Ruling: Recent changes at the EPA are now putting more pressure on Underground Storage Tank (UST) owners.
If you own a UST, you must now submit to monthly walkthrough inspections of the following: sumps, spill-prevention equipment, dispenser cabinets, observation wells, cathodic-protection equipment and release detection equipment.
These changes, along with the EPA’s new ruling that leaks into a secondary tank are considered an environmental threat, pose a number of additional challenges to UST owners. It is now more important than ever to make sure your UST meets basic safety and environmental standards.
