Attention Petroleum Bulk Storage Site Owners in Westchester County

Regarding New York State Regulation and Change in Fine Matrix Effective January 1, 2011.  Westchester County Department of Health has made us aware of a new state regulation that requires counties delegated to enforce Petroleum Bulk Storage (PBA) regulations on behalf of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation  (DEC)  to increase their fines/civil penalties to conform to those of the DEC.

As a PBS-delegated county, Westchester County’s new PBS fine matrix became effective January 1, 2011, in line with the effective date of the new state regulation.  A copy of the updated fine matrix can be accessed through Westchester County Department of Health’s website at www.westchestergov.com/health (A-Z listing, Petroleum Bulk Storage.
